Pets Are Inn Franchise Information
Pets Are Inn is a franchise for a foster family system for pets. It was founded in 1982 and started franchising in 1986. Harry and Kal Sanders-Greenberg discovered that their pet Chopin did not do well in a kennel.
After that, they tried to find another option and that’s when they came up with the idea on finding a “host family” for Chopin while they were away.
Jim and Ann Platt shares their story on why they franchised Pets Are Inn: They said that they no longer wanted to work for big corporations and came to a realization that there wasn’t good enough options on where to leave their miniature schnauzer, Maia, whenever they need to be away for a long time. They tried to impose it to their friends and relatives to care for her but it wasn’t working since they were forced to take in their dog. They then discovered Pets Are Inn. The Pets Are Inn representative visited them at home and did a very thorough research on what Maia needed in terms of food, medications, exercise, and any special attention needed. This put the couple at ease that they will find a home that fits Maia perfectly. Impressed with the service, they decided to franchise the Pets Are Inn system.
Pets Are Inn Services
They say that kennels place dogs in “cages” and they are not given enough attention, love, and care, as you would have. With Pets Are Inn, you don’t have to worry about that because they carefully screen the “host families” to make sure that your pets gets a good home while you’re away. We are aware that we now treat our pets as part of our families or as one of the children.
If you were to have your child choose over a kennel or a home, you would rather choose a real home so that they would still have a loving family to care for them. A few things they check on while choosing a host family includes: if they have previously cared for a pet, cleanliness of the home, check the yard for security, what type of pets would get along with their current pet if they have any, and they are also asked if they have a preferred type of pet whether a dog or cat, big or small, or what breed.
