GoCar GPS-Guided Tours Franchise

GoCar GPS-Guided Tours is a franchise for a business providing GPS guided talk tours.

It was founded in 2004 and started franchising in 2005. It was founded by Nathan Withrington and Alasdair Clements. Nathan is an engineering graduate at the Nottingham Trent University. He has been into maintaining and riding motorcycles for most of his life. Besides that, he is a pilot and that is the reason why he fully understands the importance and capabilities of the GPS technology. His interest in the technology and his experience in software development became the birth of GoCar as the storytelling cars. Time Magazine nominated it as the “Invention of the Year”. Alasdair was handling all the numbers and the company’s day to day operation. With this propriety technology, they enable the visitors to go on a choreographed tour and see the heart and soul of the city. They now have two locations in the United States, one in another country, and two locations that are company owned.

What services do they provide at GoCar?

They have tours available in San Francisco, San Diego, Miami, Barcelona, Madrid, San Diego, and Lisbon. Each location has their own list of sites that the tour goes to. I have here an example of the tour available in San Francisco. Some of the highlights include Fisherman’s Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, The Marina District, Fort Point, Golden Gate Bridge, Sea Cliff, Lands End, Cliff House, Ocean Beach, Lincoln Park Golf Course, Japanese Tea Gardens, Inspiration Point, and Chestnut & Union Shopping Districts. For Miami, they tour Española Way, Venetian Causeway, The Carnival Center, Botanical Gardens, Collins Avenue, Flamingo Park, Exclusive residential neighbourhoods, Public Golf Courses, Performing arts centers, Lincoln Road Mall, Downtown Miami, Holocaust Memorial, Convention Center, South Pointe Park, Washington Avenue, and the Museums. These tours are only guides. The visitors can stop when they want and when they get back in the car, it would just start talking again.

If you choose to go to a certain place that is not in the tour, you may also do so. The cars can also speak in five different languages: Spanish, Italian, German, French, and English.
