The Firkin Group of Pubs Franchise Information

The Firkin Group of Pubs is a franchise for an English pub. It was founded by Stanley Adelson and Ian Fisher in 1987 in Toronto, Canada.

It started in 1986 when Adelson and Fisher decided to franchise Toronto’s Empire Pubs. They then opened up Fox and the Firkin and purchased it from Empire including the copyright on the name. This was when they established The Firkin Group of Pubs. They wanted the pub to be very inviting to the locals. Each location has its own name combining “Firkin” and a name of an animal. Each location also has its own unique style to fit the wants and needs of the locals. They have also put up the Firkin University to help graduates pay off their student loans. Each location also has their own way of supporting and helping their communities.
