Hardee’s Franchise
Hardee’s is a franchise for a burger restaurant. It was founded in 1960 and started franchising in 1962.
It was founded by Wilbur Hardee. The first location was opened in Greenville, North Carolina in 1960. The next location was opened in Rocky Mount, North Carolina and was owned by James Carson Gardner and Leonard Rawls. Wilbur Hardee said that the two won most of the controlling shares from him in poker. He no longer had control of the company and decided to sell the rest of his shares to them.
