Central Bark Doggy Day Care Franchise

Central Bark Doggy Day Care is a franchise for a pet care business. It was founded by Jackie Jordan in 1997. She started out at a very early age of 9 training her family dog.

When she was 12, she was awarded a lifetime membership to the Tri-County Humane Society because of her volunteer work. She has a B.S. Degree in Sociology and A.S. Degree in Veterinary Technology. For 11 years, she worked for Marshal Fields and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. Up to now, she still does volunteer work with the Humane Animal Society Welfare (HAWS), Wisconsin Humane Society, and Elmbrook Humane Society. She facilitates seminars on good dog ownership.

What services do they offer at Central Bark Doggy Day Care?

They have the Doggy Sleepovers, Doggy Boutique, Canine Cab, Doggy Training, and Doggy Salon. They also have Doggy Parties and throw a birthday party for your dog complete with cake and party games. Central Bark even has its own Rewards Program for loyal customers. Something unique to most that Central Bark has is Veterinary Services. They have licensed DVM’s who provides Physical Exams, Microchipping, vaccinations, and other veterinary services. Visiting the vet in a place that your dog recognizes as a fun place would be much less stressful for them. In 2010, Central Bark was ranked #462 in Franchise 500.

Like the founder, Jackie Jordan, the Central Bark Doggy Day Care is also supportive on charitable institutions. They help educate the public about pet care, encouraging positive canine growth and development, and supporting local rescue groups. They have launched programs like the “Dog Bless America” wherein they sold t-shirts and bandanas and 100% of their proceeds were donated to Atlas Guardian Angels and Operation Military K-9. They are working with Pathways to Hope, the Prison Dog Program, and Sister Pauline Quinn on this project. Pauline started the Prison Dog Program in 1981 in Washington State. She helps rescue shelter dogs and bring them into the prison. The inmates trained them to become assistants to the handicapped and in return, it taught the inmates about care and responsibility for these special dogs.
