123 Refills Franchise

123 Refills is a franchise based upon an ink and toner refilling station. They started in the United States in 2002. They started as an online store and now they have locations worldwide. When the European website became a success, they decided to open a retail store in Greece. The demand was high in Greece so then they started franchising there in June 2005. In just 2 years, they had 20 locations all over Greece. They are now also opening their doors to franchising nationwide and in other countries like the Philippines, Cyprus, and the Middle East. There are currently 32 locations around the world.

123 Refills believes in 3 things: Quality assuring the customers that the products will perform as if they were new; Service that come from store personnel that were trained to answer all questions and in helping decide what best fits their needs; Value that the customers go back for to save money but still get quality and good service.

How does refilling happen?

There are 3 steps: First, they clean the used cartridges ensuring that it’s in perfect condition and meets their standards; Second, they refill it with the formula that’s been proven to perform well; Third, every cartridge is tested on an actual printer to be sure that it will meet all required standards that they have set and that each cartridge is filled at least equal to the original amount.

Why do refills instead of buying new ones? Everyone wants to reduce costs associated with buying expensive inks and they just need to be given a quality refill that they can trust. Last year, over 100 million refilled cartridges were sold and this is only partial to the 150 million users who haven’t used one. There are 800 million manufactured inkjet and toners sold in the USA on a yearly basis and 24 billion dollars was spent for it. This will be your market. An empty cartridge can be used 5 times and it takes 1,000 years for 1 cartridge to decompose. You will be doing your share in helping out with the environment whist helping your customers save money.
