The Whole Child Learning Company Franchise Information

The Whole Child Learning Company is a franchise for a business providing children enrichment programs. It was founded in 1996 and started franchising in 1999.

It was in 1996 when Matt and Lindsay Barron founded Gigglebytes. They opened its first location in San Marcos, Texas. They provided their computer education programs to day care centers, preschools, and as after school programs. They expanded their curriculum and started opening other enrichment programs as Little Amigos, Busy Bodies, and Great Minds Tutoring Solutions. They then changed their name to The Whole Child Learning Company in 1997. They now have 36 locations in the United States and four locations that are company owned.

What are the four programs offered by The Whole Child Learning Company?

First is Gigglebytes. This is their program that provides computer education. They offer this program to preschools, day care centers, private schools, as an after school program, weekend program, or as day camp programs. They involve basic skills in teaching about technology such as number recognition, letters, pre reading skills, shapes and colors, spatial relations, phonics, auditory and visual discrimination. They also include Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

Their second program is the Little Amigos. This program teaches kids other languages including cross cultural skills and awareness. They teach Spanish to young children because they say that from birth to seven years old are the years when the children’s brains are able to acquire different languages. They also make it a fun and interactive environment fit for young children.

Busy Bodies or Yo Yo Yoga is their third offered program. This program involves fitness and sports. They aim to help families have a healthier lifestyle. They believe in the impact that movement and exercise can make in developing cognitive skills of children. This curriculum is based on the current research on physical education, preschool health, and yoga. Their classes have singing, music, games, puppets, and equipments to spark the child’s interest and imagination. The fourth program is Great Minds Tutoring Solutions. They mentor and motivate children to study. They help them gain self esteem through their sense of accomplishment. These programs can also be franchised separately.
