Summit Learning Services Franchise Information

Summit Learning Services is a franchise for a business that provides tutoring services. It was founded in 2007 and started franchising in 2009. It was founded by Ed Cwieka and Jeanee Thompson.

He graduated from Florida State University. He initially put up Summit Staffing and Summit Health Care. In just two to three years, it became successful and earning millions. Ed had an admiration for educators and that is why he decided to sell both companies and start a business in the field of learning services.

On the other hand, Jeanee was teaching at Miami-Dade Country Public School. She is a graduate of Grand Valley State University with a degree in reading and language arts. She also worked at a learning center but she was disappointed with the pay and that her colleagues were teaching without degrees nor any formal teaching experience.

By chance, Ed met Jeanee and they decided to change their past experiences through building a company that was different than other learning centers. They started with only one student but in just three months, they already had 150 students. Word spread and they became known as a learning center that has high quality and leading in the South Florida area. They say that the quality of their services starts with the strong background and training of each of their tutors. They continued to expand and planning on exploring other educational businesses such as charter and private schools, aftercare, and preschools. They now have 20 locations in the United States and 13 locations that are company owned.

What services do they offer at Summit Learning Services?

They offer tutoring services that can be conducted either at their offices or at your home. They also have one-on-one education, homework assistance, college preparation, and FCAT preparation. They have classes that focus on all subjects in K-12 and Singapore Math. Classes are held in either small or large groups.

They also offer summer camps named “Reading, Math, and Writing”. They usually have two batches every summer and each are held as four week sessions. Each session last about three hours on a daily basis. These camps are for students who are entering first to ninth grades. Their fees include books, t-shirts, snack, and awards.
