Jumping J-Jays Inflatable Amusements Franchise

Jumping J-Jays Inflatable Amusements is a franchise that provides inflatable amusements.

It was founded in 1997 by John Newton in Western Sydney, Australia. It started when he his neighbour’s backyard party with an inflatable castle. He thought that that would be a great concept. He wanted to build something bigger and more interactive and would come with a more professional service and approach. He first had only 10 castles then it grew to 30 when the demand also increased. In 2000, he already had 100 castles available in Sydney plus five that were off-site. They also had a team who installs the inflatable castles on weekends.

It was in 200 that they decided to expand and offer franchising. By the end of 2000, they grew to 40 locations in Australia and some in New Zealand. These franchises had more than 1000 castles being rented out. They opened franchising in the United States in 2007 and for starters, they had two locations in Texas. John Newton designed the “combo” castle by himself and it is now known to be the biggest castle that has both the bouncy slide and the jumping room.
