The Hot Stuff Foods franchise is for a non-traditional quick serve restaurant. It was founded in 1982 and started franchising in 1993.

The first location was opened in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 1983. Their concept was to provide high quality products to consumers who are time-conscious. The first brand they launched was Pizza Patrol which is a regional pizza delivery franchise. Its first location was opened in October of 1984. They were introduced as a high quality brand being sold in convenience stores. It opened doors for them that made them available in 1,600 locations in the United States, Europe, Canada, and Asia. Parts of their individually bundled brands are Hot Stuff Pizza, SmashHits Deli, and C-Street Bakery.

They have the Hot Stuff – Warm Hearts Kids’ Charities and one of the foundations they have helped included the Sanford Children’s Foundation. They also held the The Hot Stuff Foods Challenge which is a golf tournament that helped raise $2 million for the Children’s Inn and Children’s Home Society. They now have 959 locations in the United States and 11 locations in Canada.

Specialty Sandwiches includes Sausage, Egg & Cheese on Griddle Cake and French Toast & Maple Sausage. Personal Size Pan Pizzas are available in Denver and Sausage, Egg, Bacon & Cheese. Southern Style Biscuits has Sausage, Egg & Pepper Jack Cheese and Sausage, Egg & Cheese. They also have Breakfast Burritos in Steak & Egg, and Sausage, Egg & Bacon.

Their Croissants are available in Bacon, Egg & Cheese, and Ham, Egg & Cheese. For the lunch and dinner menu, they have appetizers like Egg Rolls and Cheesy Garlic Bread, Megarito Burrito in Steak and Chicken, and Hot Sandwiches in Cheeseburger and Grilled Chicken. It also includes pizzas in personal size or large, pan style or thin crust, and available in flavours like Canadian Bacon, Five-Meat Supreme, Masterpiece Supreme, Italian Sausage, Pork Sausage, Garden Style, and  Cheese.

You need to have a net worth of $100,000. Expect to be investing about $58,000 to $133,000. This is for a renewable 10 year term agreement. You will need about four to six employees to run one location. They allow absentee ownership.

What is included in the franchise package?

There will be 10 days training at your location. There is a team of franchise training specialists who will help you get your employees certified and ready for all aspects of your location’s operation. You will be provided assistance in layout, design and equipment installation. They have installation specialists who will be coordination with your contractors. You will be given access to the internet and provided with assistance at the grand opening. Expect to be attending meetings and receiving occasional field evaluations. For marketing support, there will be ad slicks, regional advertising, and national media.
