The Ed & Joe’s Restaurant & Pizzeria franchise is a pizza restaurant business. It was founded in 1978 when Michael Clark bought this pizza business from his father.

He grew up working with his father on making fresh batches of dough and grating cheese every day. He started with a small delivery and carry out business. It became a full service restaurant in 1984 when he purchased a property in 1990. Their business has also been a successful catering business and they now have a private room for parties, meetings, and other special events. They even ship pizzas nationwide. They started franchising in 2004.

What’s on the menu at Ed & Joe’s?

For appetizers, they have Ed n’ Joe’s Snack Attack that has mozzarella sticks, onion rings, wings, cheddar cheese cubes, chicken strips, and breaded zucchini sticks; Or Town Dock Calamari, Spinach Artichoke dip, cheese freak basket, bruschetta dip, and flatbreads. For soups and salads, they have zuppa tortellini, southwestern salad, stuffed tuna salad, antipasto salad, cob salad, wedge salad, and spinach salad. For pizza’s, they have Ed n Joe’s Thin Crust Pizza in small (10”), medium (12”), large (14”), and family (16”). They have cheese pizza and half and half with choices of toppings.

Their Gourmet Pizzas are available in vegetarian, BBQ Chicken, Taco Pizza, meatball marinara pizza, buffalo chicken pizza, putanesca pizza, Sinatra pizza, pan pizzas, and calzones. They also have the family value package that’s good for 3-4 persons. For sandwiches, they have the godfather, the godmother, grilled tuna steak, sirloin burger, flat iron steak sandwich, breaded pork sandwich, spicy buffalo chicken sandwich, meatball marinara hoagie, Italian sausage, Italian beef, grilled chicken breast, and pulled chicken BBQ. They also have the New Bremen Wraps in beef, turkey, buffalo chicken, and southwest chicken. House favorites are chicken pot pie, flat iron steak, chicken cordon bleu, chicken marsala, chicken vesuvio, English pub fish and chips, breaded pork schnitzel, and coconut shrimp. They also have pasta classics in sausage and penne in vodka sauce and baked mostaccioli. You can even create your own pasta choosing from a variety of pastas, sauces, and toppings. Another option are the Michael’s Fat Boy Burgers in Southern style, patriot, streets of fire, pizza, and south of the border.

Costs and Requirements Associated with Running an Ed & Joe’s Restaurant & Pizzeria Franchise

You need to have a net worth of $150,000 to $400,000 and a total liquid asset of at least $50,000 to $100,000. Expect to be investing about $165,000 to $540,000. Franchise fee is $25,000 to $45,000 with an on-going royalty fee of 6%. This is for a renewable 10 year term agreement. They don’t allow absentee ownership and you will need about 50 employees to run a location.

What’s included in the franchise package?

There will be 6 weeks training at the headquarters and 6 weeks at your location. Part of the on-going support are the meetings, assistance at the grand opening, security and safety procedures, field evaluations, and access to purchasing cooperatives. For marketing, there’s co-op advertising.
