What music programs do they offer at the School of Rock?
Rock 101 is a program for beginners. This program includes the basics in music theory and technique, understanding the dynamic of playing in a group, weekly private music lesson on bass guitar, guitar, drums, keyboard, and vocals, and a weekly group band rehearsal. Lessons + is a program that focuses on lessons only approach and fit for students of all skill levels and ages. This includes weekly private music lesson on bass guitar, guitar, drums, keys, and vocals, access to programs, workshops, and special member-only artist event, and discounts on show tickets.
The Artist Development program focuses on a range of advanced-level workshops and music education classes for students who wants to experience more and further in their musical journey. The All Stars program exposes the students to over 500 concerts in a year including not just the United States but also in Europe such as the Zappa Fest in Berlin, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and Made in Stockholm. Some of the artists that their students have shared the stage with are Slash, Jon Anderson of Yes, Peter Frampton, Sting, and Alice Cooper.
Cost and requirements on running a School of Rock franchise
You need to have a net worth of $300,000 and a total liquid asset of at least $100,000. Expect to be investing about $115,000 to $322,000. The cost of the School of Rock franchise fee is $49,500 with an on-going royalty fee of 8%. This is for a renewable 10 year term agreement. You will need about 14 to 21 employees to run one location. They allow multi-unit ownership and absentee ownership.
What is included in the franchise package?
There will be four days training at the headquarters, three days at your location, and additional trainings as needed. You will be receiving newsletters, assistance to the grand opening, real estate selection, and interior design specifications.
