Rainbow Station Franchise

The Rainbow Station franchise is for a business that provides child care services.  It was founded in 1989 by Gail W. Johnson. She was part of the faculty at the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University School of Nursing. During her practice, she noticed how the need arises when parents have a child who is sick and they need to go back to work. She understands the crisis that the family goes through in this situation. This is why she thought of putting up the Get Well Place at Rainbow Station.

What they do is give valuable assistance to the working parents with their mildly ill children. In their facilities, they also have a full-time nurse who will always be there when the children needs care. She also put up The Village which is a school age recreation program available after school or during summer vacations. They now have five locations in the United States and four locations that are company owned.

What programs and services do they offer at the Rainbow Station?

First is the Get Well Place which helps parents take care of their mildly ill children from newborns to 14 years old. This place is staffed with a pediatric nurse and they can provide emergency back-up care for common childhood illnesses like flu, colds, or even chicken pox. These services are available even to those who are not students at the Rainbow Station. The child can stay with them for only a few hours or the whole day. They can even pick-up your child from day care or schools and bring them to the Get Well Place.

They have the Nursery School that focuses on small groups, developmental evaluations for infants every four months, and development on cognitive and language, social and emotional, creative, and fine and gross motor skills.

For Preschool they have developmentally appropriate thematic learning experiences, classroom computers, emphasis on health and wellness, and a fun and creative education curriculum. For Private Kindergarten, they have small classes that have a maximum of 10 students to reach higher rates of achievements.

The Village offers after school programs and summer camps. They have facilities such as The Café, The Village Green, The Apothecary Shop, The Art Gallery, The Village Theater, and The Library.
