Huddle House Franchise

Huddle House is a franchise for a family style diner. It was founded by 1964 and started franchising in 1966.

It was founded by John Sparks. He already had several restaurants under different name but he thought of putting it under the same name. In Decatur, Georgia, he watched a group of boys on a “huddle” after a football practice. They were holding their helmets and footballs while laughing and talking together. That was where the idea came from. He named it “Huddle House” with the concept of becoming a place where people can “huddle up” and have a good time on Friday night football games. They continued on and carried their values even after Sparks passed away in 1978. Huddle House was taken over by his wife, Pauline. It was in 1994 when it was sold to a private firm. They started adding items to the menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and they lived by one slogan in 45 years, “Any Meal. Any Time. “.  They now have 382 locations in the United States and 18 locations that are company owned.
