The first Golden Corral was opened in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Their aim was to provide a restaurant that offers their guests with wholesome foods and an atmosphere that is family-friendly. In their buffet have over, they provide a different menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have over 15 types of protein from steaks, pork, chicken, and seafood. Their dishes are home-style classics and their mashed potatoes are made from scratch. The buffet includes pastries and a bakery with homemade cakes and even ice cream.

The Hot Buffet includes Alfredo sauce, Asian beef, asparagus, baby back ribs, baby corn, baked fish with shrimp and lemon herb, baked new Orleans style fish, BBQ pork, beef enchiladas, beef tips, boneless BBQ pork ribs, bourbon street chicken, breaded bay scallops, breaded okra, broccoli florets, brown gravy, brussel sprouts, buffalo shrimp, cabbage, cauliflower steamed, cheese enchiladas, cheese sauce, chicken breast, chicken piccata, chicken quesadillas, chipotle chicken breast, clam strips, collard greens, country breaded wings, creamed corn, fajita chicken, flame broiled mixed vegetables, fried chicken, fried cubed potatoes, green bean casserole, grilled BBQ wings, smoked ham, Hawaiian pineapple glazed split ribs, hickory bourbon chicken breast, homemade Italian meatballs, hushpuppies, Italian roped sausage, turkey breast, and sweet and sour shrimp. They also have a separate menu for the Salad Buffet and Bakery and Desserts. This menu may differ from every location.

You need to have a net worth of $2,500,000 and a total liquid asset of at least $500,000. Expect to be investing about $1,954,000 to $6,757,000. The Golden Corral franchise fee is $50,000 with an on-going royalty fee of 4%. This is for a renewable 15 year term agreement. They allow multi-unit ownership. They do not allow absentee ownership.
What is included in the franchise package?
There will be two weeks training at the headquarters and eight weeks training at a company training location. You will be receiving newsletters and a toll free phone number. You will be given assistance at the grand opening. You will have access to the internet and a purchasing cooperative. Expect to be attending meeting and receiving occasional field evaluations. For marketing support, there will be ad slicks, co-op advertising, and regional advertising.
