Farmer Boys Franchise

Framer Boys is a franchise for a restaurant that specializes in hamburgers. It was founded in 1981 by the Havadijas brothers.

The Havadijas brothers grew up in Cyprus and worked on their farm and restaurant. They learned to work hard and be hospitable to strangers. In 1973, they went to the United States to study Northrup University in California. In 1981, they bought McCoy’s restaurant and changed the name to Farmer Boys after their farm heritage. It was in that same year that they bought Theodor’s restaurant in Hollywood and that is when they appreciated the difference between a full service restaurant and a fast food chain. In 1995, they realized that having eight locations was not enough and they started planning on opening the business to franchising. The first franchise was opened in 1999. In 2011, they are celebrating their 30 years in the business. They now have 48 franchises all over the United Stated and 17 locations that are company owned.
