DoubleDave’s Pizzaworks Systems Franchise

Double Dave’s Pizzaworks is a franchise for a pizza restaurant. It was founded by David Davydd Miller in 1984. David invented a recipe for the perfect crust. He found a miller to make his own customized blend of mill for the flour he uses to make the dough.

Same for the sauce, he found someone to make a rich and rich tomato pizza sauce. He opened the first Double Dave’s Pizzaworks restaurant in College Station, Texas near a campus and everything grew from there on. They pride themselves as a real pizza joint. The dough is hand tossed twice a day, sauce is made from scratch every day, and they hand-cut vegetables daily.

What’s on the menu at DoubleDave’s Pizzaworks?

I’ll start with their handcrafted favourites. They’re famous for their Peproni Rolls which is pepperoni and smoked provolone cheese then wrapped in their hand-tossed crust, served with homemade red sauce or Ranch. Another top favourite is the Philly Cheesesteak Stromboli which is white American cheese, mozzarella, crushed garlic and spinach then folded into a pizza crust. This is only a couple of the favourites out of 6. For specialty pizzas, they have Meateater, BBQ Chicken, The Works, Buffalo Chicken, and the Classic Veggie. Not sure what to settle with? You can create your own pizza. You can choose between crusts whether you want Crispy Thin Crust, Hand-tossed honey whole wheat, hand-tossed original, or deep dish, you can have it at small 10”, medium 12”, large 15”, or Big Dave 18”. You can have even have it with or without sauce.

Then choose away for your toppings: smoked provolone, mozzarella, white American, parmesan, romano, extra cheese, pepperoni, bacon, beef, chicken, sliced meatball, smoked ham, steak, Italian sausage, Onion, Tomato, crushed garlic, mushroom, black olive, green pepper, pineapple, jalapeno, Italian sweet peppers, spinach, green olive, and smoked provolone. That’s a lot to choose from. For the sides, they have hot wings, breadstyx, cheesestyx, and Dave’s greens which is a salad bar with greens, toppings and choices of homemade dressings. It doesn’t end there. They also have their signature desserts: Chocolate Chip Pizza, cinnamonstyxz, cherry straddle, and apple straddle. Price of the smallest pizza starts at $4.99 and up to almost $50 for packaged meals for 10 people.

You need to have a net worth of at least $300,000 and a total liquid asset of at least $300,000. Expect to be investing about $279,000 to $444,500. Franchise fee is $30,000 with an on-going royalty fee of 5%. This is for a renewable 10 year term agreement.

What’s included in the franchise package?

There will be 4 weeks training at the headquarters and 4 weeks at your location. You will receive assistance from the very start in making decisions on your investment. You will receive support in staffing, on your grand opening, and in local marketing to start you up. You will receive newsletters, attend meetings, and get a toll-free number. Field evaluations will be done occasionally to help you track your progress. There are also purchasing cooperatives to make it easier for you to find the best deals.
