Dippin’ Dots Franchise

Dippin’ Dots is a franchise for an ice cream store or stand. It was discovered by Curt Jones in 1987. What sets Dippin’ Dots apart from the other ice creams is that it’s created through flash freezing the ice cream in liquid nitrogen.

It takes the air out of the ice cream and forms little circles. They should be stored below -20 °F (about -29 °C). Because of this unique process, they label their ice cream with the slogan “Ice Cream of the Future”. Dippin’ Dots headquarters is in Paducah, Kentucky. Current franchises are located in shopping malls, stadiums, and even in vending machines. They also have outlets in theme parks like Six Flags, Schlitterbahn, Cedar Fair, Kennywood, PARC Management, and Sea World. Dippin’ Dots is global. They are produced in Seoul, South Korea to be distributed in the Pacific and they also have a distribution center in Melbourne, Australia. It has been featured in the Oprah Winfrey show, The Travel Channel, Food TV, A&E Network, and on Gene Simmons Family Jewels. They have been active in doing charity work as well contributing to Give Kids the World Village in Kissimmee, Florida and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
