Boston’s The Gourmet Pizza franchise
Boston Pizza is a sports bar and a restaurant franchise.
It all started in August 12, 1964 when Gus Agioritis opened his first sports bar; this was located in Edmonton, Alberta Canada.
In 1983, it was acquired by Treviling and Melville from Ron Coyle who had previously acquired it from Agioritis. Back then they had 15 restaurants franchised and turned one of their restaurants into a training center. By 1995, they had 95 locations in Canada. In 1997, they brought the brand ito the Eastern part of Canada starting with Ottawa in 1998. Now there are 325 locations in Canada. Also in 1998, they setup a headquarters in Dallas, Texas. That was when they changed the name to Boston’s The Gourmet Pizza. It now has 54 locations in the US and two in Mexico.
