The first Bar-B-Cutie was opened in 1950. They first started franchising in 2003. It’s a family restaurant serving an all day dining. Hey have options for dine-in, take-out, and even catering. They currently have locations in Tennessee, Georgia, Texas, Delaware, and internationally, in Spain.
Bar-B-Cutie’s has had the system C.R.I.S.P. that has been the key to their success in the past 59 years. It stands for Customer, Restaurant, Integrity, Service and Product. It is the standard that has been set to set them apart from the rest in the industry and to keep all their locations consistent to the Bar-B-Cutie quality. With the CRISP system, a person from the headquarters visits a location and evaluates them for a week. After the evaluation, they will meet with the locations manager to discuss it and they do it in a quarterly basis.
What is served at a Bar-B-Cutie Franchise?
What’s on the menu? For soups and salads, they have Bar-B-Q Pork salad, regular brunswick stew, and mesquite chicken salad. For Sampler Baskets, it includes Bar-B-Q Pork, baby back ribs, grilled mesquite chicken, 1 Side Item and Bread. Your side options are coleslaw, onion rings, fried okra, macaroni and cheese, cinnamon apples, turnip greens, cream style corn, and white and green beans.
Bar-B-Cutie have hand-stuffed spuds Beef Brisket and Smoked Turkey. They also have sandwich combos that include 1 sandwich, 1 side and 1 beverage. They have regular or large Bar-B-Q Pork, smoked turkey sandwich, smoked sausage sandwich, and mesquite chicken sandwich. Their plates and platters include 2 sides and a choice of bread. It can have pork, beef, chicken, or turkey. For pork, they have hickory smoked Bar-B-Q, for beef, they have hot roast beef sandwich, for chicken, they have chicken tender, and for turkey, they have smoked turkey breast. They also have bulk items and family packs and the Little Cuties Menu. The Little Cuties has hamburger and 1 side, grilled cheese and 1 side, peanut butter and banana sandwich. For desserts, they have the Christie cookie, fudge pie and the banana pudding.
Costs and requirements for a Bar-B-Cutie Franchise
What do you need to become a Bar-B-Cutie franchisee? You need to have a net worth of $500,000 and at least $200,000 total of liquid assets.Total investment would be at around $329,900-$450,000. Franchise fee is $25,000 with an on-going royalty fee of 5%. This is for a renewable 10 year term agreement. They don’t allow absentee ownership.
Bar-B-Cutie Franchise Training and Support
What’s included in the franchise package? There will be 3 weeks training at the headquarters and 1 week training at your location. You will not get site assistance as they prefer you and a local broker as they say you know the locality better but they will ask you to present them with 3 options that they can choose from. You will be provided franchisees newsletters and meetings. You will be assisted in the grand opening and will have staffs from the headquarters visiting for evaluations and provide you on-going support. For marketing, you will have co-op advertising.
