UC MAS (kuala Lumpur) is a franchise for a business providing educational programs for children.
It was founded in 1993 and started franchising in 2005. Their vision is simple and straight to the point: “We envision that U C MAS brain development courses to reach out to children in every corner of the world.” They live by their motto which is to learn, to serve, and to excel. Their company covers franchises in Malaysia and all over the world.

What programs do they offer?
They have Mental Arithmetic. It involves the improvements of four abilities: concentration, observation, memory, and visualization and imagination. With concentration, there would be better absorption of knowledge. They train the students to be able to concentrate in listening to the teacher’s questions. Observation is referred to being the state of mind wherein it is alert and swift.
It makes them aware of the time and the prompting of the teachers. To improve memory, they stimulate the right brain because it is where the information stays forever. Visualization and Imagination, as per Albert Einstein is the source of knowledge that is yet to be discovered. Mental Arithmetic is for pre-school children aged four to six and primary children aged seven to 13. This course is conducted two hours per week and last for about three years. The Dino Art program involves fabric painting, paper craft, and “magic”. They are also taught the different types of art media. After completing the course the students are awarded with a certificate that is also issued by International Magic Society, Saito Academy, and Batik Drawing Corporation. The i-Maths programs include Teaching Mathematical Concepts to Young Children, The Reversible Teaching Method, The Conservative Teaching Method, Multiple Solutions for a Single Problem, and The Intelligent-Maths Teaching Method.
Cost and requirements on running a UC MAS franchise
You need to have a net worth of $25,000 and a total liquid asset of at least $15,000. Expect to be investing about $25,000. The cost of UC MAS franchise fee is $7,000 with an on-going royalty fee of 25%. This is for a renewable three year term agreement. You will need about two employees to run one location. They do not allow absentee ownership.
What is included in the franchise package?
There will be 10 days training at the headquarters, 10 days at your location, and 10 days at an existing location. You will be receiving newsletters and a toll free phone number. You will be given access to the internet. You may also expect to be attending meetings. For marketing support, there will be regional and national advertisements.
