Sylvan Learning Franchise Information

Sylvan Learning is a franchise for a business providing supplemental education. It was founded in 1979 and started franchising in 1980. Sylvan Learning believes that there is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to teaching children.

There has to be a focus given to each child for them to be able to unlock their own potential. What they do is custom-tailor the goals and needs of your child. The child first goes through a Sylvan Skills Assessment.

This assessment follows a process which includes standardized tests, diagnostic tools, and personal interviews. This is used to address the child’s skill gaps. On the test day itself, the child meets the staff, then they will be given a tour of the center, take the test on the computer, then the one-on-one evaluations and personal interviews. There will be 740 locations in the United States, 91 locations in Canada, 11 in other countries, and 40 locations that are company owned.
