KidzArt Franchise

KidzArt is a franchise for a business providing art education. It was founded by Shell Herman and Chris Cruikshank in 1993.

Shell has a career in counselling and she was in that field for 15 years. She has written and published articles and a couple of those are “Doing What You Love For A Living” and Career Change”. They started franchising in 2002. She spent 12 years providing quality high foundation in visual arts programming. Shell Herman is no longer active at the company but Chris Cruikshank is now standing as the President of the company. Chris is a known artist and she has been an artist since the age of seven and her pencil drawings have been presented with Honorable Mention from the San Francisco Chronicles.

She studied photography and art history at the University of California, Berkley. Their philosophy in teaching art revolves around four beliefs: Using art to circumvent limiting beliefs; Learning happens in many ways; Learning to perceive in a new way; Fear blocks creativity. They now have 60 locations all over the United States and nine locations in other countries.
