Embassy Suites is a franchise for an upscale hotel with all suites. It was founded in 1983 and they started franchising in 1984. It is a subsidiary of Hilton Worldwide.

The first location was opened in Overland Park, Kansas in 1984. It used to be owned by Promus Hotel Corporation before it was purchased by Hilton Worldwide. One of their competitors is Cambria Suites. They currently have about 213 locations all over the United States and about 8 locations in other countries.
