Ellianos Coffee Franchise

Ellianos Coffe Co is a franchise for an Italian drive-thru coffee shop.  It was founded in 2002 and started franchising in 2003. Scott and Pam Stewart returned from a vacation in the Pacific Northwest.

Being entrepreneurs, they realized that there would be a market in Lake City, Florida for a drive-thru coffee shop. Their son, Rob, and daughter-in-law, Ellie, helped them build the concept and put up the first location of Ellianos Coffee Co drive-thru coffee shop in Lake City. Their slogan is “ITALIAN QUALITY AT AMERICA’S PACE®”.  It became a hit and since Scott Stewart is a franchisee of a pizza chain, he thought that it would help the a lot if they franchise their drive-thru coffee, and so they did. They said that they would treat their franchisees as their family. Because of their success, they now offer their franchise in over 35 states.

What is on the menu at Ellianos Coffee Company?

For coffee, they have Ellianos Blend which is a blend of American Arabica beans with a mild chocolate start, a nutty middle, and finishes sweet. They also have Columbian, Hawaiian, and Big Sky. You can also purchase the beans by the pound. Their signature creations can be served hot, iced, or freezer. The signature creations include Venetian Vanilla Créme, Caffé Dolce, Tuscany Toffee, Milan Mint Mocha, Sicilian Smoothiano, and Creamy Cookie Freeziano. They also have smoothies and flavours to choose from like Strawberry, Berry Blast, Piña Colada, and Strawberry/Banana. For the freezers, they are made with creamy ice cream, espresso, and flavours like Caramel, Coffee, white mocha, mocha, turtle which is mocha and caramel, vanilla, or tuxedo which is mocha and white mocha. You can also opt to have the freezers coffee-free. For non-coffee drinkers, they have alternatives like Steamer, Caramel Apple Cider, Spiced Chai, and Hot Cocoa. They also have a guilt free menu like non-fat latte, lowfat mocha, no sugar added fat free freezers, no sugar added spiced chai, 99% Fat Free Brevé, and 99% fat free freezers. To go with your coffee, they have muffins, bagels, cookies, biscotti, and croissants. They have a menu for kids 12 years old below and they call it Lil’ Bambinos Menu. The menu may vary depending on the location.

Cost and requirements on running an Ellianos Coffee Company Franchise

You need to have a net worth of $150,000 and a total liquid asset of at least $50,000. Expect to be investing about $170,000 to $293,000. The Ellianos coffee franchise fee is $20,000 with an on-going royalty fee of 5%. This is for a renewable five year term agreement. You will need about 10 employees to run one location. They allow multi-unit ownership. They also allow absentee ownership.

What is included in the franchise package?

There will be one to two weeks training at the Ellianos headquarters, three days at your location and on-going training as needed. For start-up, they will provide you with a sample business plan, site selection assistance, vendor selection, building plans, and assistance in lease and real estate. For operations, there would be an operations manual, financial and operations advice, and on-going support and field evaluations. For marketing, you will be given the right to use the logo and branding materials, brand identity, and marketing advice.
