Cartridge Depot Franchise

Cartridge Depot is a franchise for a business providing cartridge refills for inkjet and laser toner.

It was founded in 2004 and started franchising that same year. The first Cartridge Depot location was opened in Owing Mills, Maryland. Their goal is to change the way people deal with buying ink and toner cartridges for their fax machines and printers. They remanufacture cartridges and they use their Ink 3000 cartridge machine which they say is a refilling technology that is groundbreaking. They also claim that their cartridges cost less and it exceeds the expectations of their customers. It is also their goal to help their customers save without having to sacrifice the quality. Their current President is Ken Blum. He was able to turn around the franchisors and he has also developed business lines. Their Senior Vice President of sales is Nicholas Sheehan. He is the one who handles franchisee development and training. Their aim is to become the leader in the industry of remanufactured cartridges. They now have 28 locations in the United States, one in Canada, 10 in other countries, and one location that is company owned.

Why would a Cartridge Depot be ideal at a time like this?

First is that it takes one laser print cartridge one gallon of oil to produce while it takes only about one quart of oil to remanufacture and refill it which will save us 11,000,000 gallons of oil per year. Second is that there are about one billion inkjet and laser cartridges are being shipped yearly around the world. Third is that 70% of the users throw away their empty ink cartridges and that comes up to about 300 million cartridges a year. Ink cartridges takes about 450 years before it decomposes in a landfill which means that it is not environmentally friendly to not be recycling it. The cost of a refilled cartridge is only about half of a new one but provides the same quality of print. To add further to the savings, they recycle consumer waste and use part of it in creating the boxes for the cartridges.
