A+ Nannies Franchise

The A+ Nannies franchise is a nanny headhunting service business. It was founded by Hilary Lockhart in 2001. She started babysitting for neighbourhood families when she was 10 years old.

When she was 12, she put up a babysitting club for the teens. She had her first official nanny position when she was 16. On her senior year during high school, she was a volunteer at a facility for handicapped children and at a day-care center. She still continued with the her job of being a nanny all throughout college and when she graduated, she opened A+ Nanny Inc. Her whole life was about children. It’s her passion taking care of the children. She started franchising it in 2007.

What services do they offer at A+ Nannies?

They have full time or part time jobs. They also have temporary nannies who can stay with your kids while you’re away on vacation or during school breaks or when you need extra help if your child is sick. Their nannies can also be on-call for special occasions or date nights. There are also nannies who specialize in post-natal care to help you with your newborn specially at night.

The franchisees task is to find professional nannies. You will need to pre-screen them, check references, interview, and then conduct all necessary background investigations. They also base the selection process on their attitude, past experiences, and upon their commitment. The nannies will not be treated as your employees but instead, your client’s employees. A+ Nannies calls the family 5 times during the first year to check on their progress. They would also call the nanny 5 times the first year to check on their status. They encourage the communication to be open to make sure that both parties are not having unresolved issues or concerns.
