Genghis Grill Franchise

Genghis Grill is a franchise for a stir-fry restaurant that allows the customers to design their own Mongolian feast.

It was founded in 1998 by Jeff Sinelli. The first Genghis Grill was opened in Dallas, Texas because it is an area that he is familiar with. He has previously partnered and owned different concepts in that city. Its success was immediate and Sinelli started planning on growing the business. They started franchising in August of 2001. They need not offer the franchise to people because by word of mouth, their fans interest grew fast. Through unsolicited interest, the first eight franchises were opened. They expanded and in the United States and reached as far as the Middle East and Hong Kong. Genghis Grill Franchise has The Chalak Group under them and in 2004, they acquired the Genghis Grill system. They now have 25 locations in the United States and 18 locations that are company owned.
